You can now stream AWS CloudWatch metrics into Atatus through Amazon Kinesis Data Firehose, without running an agent or building a pipeline. Metrics from CloudWatch Metric Streams arrive in Atatus ready to chart, alert on and combine with the rest of your infrastructure monitoring data.
Setup is a single CloudFormation stack. Launch it from Atatus with your API key, choose the AWS regions to monitor, and the stack creates the Firehose delivery streams and IAM roles for you.
What you can do
- One-stack setup: The Atatus CloudFormation template creates the delivery streams and IAM roles in each region you list.
- No agent to run: CloudWatch pushes metrics through Firehose, so there is nothing to install or maintain for them.
- Streamed, not polled: Metric Streams deliver metrics continuously, so new data arrives without waiting for a polling cycle.
- Custom dashboards: Combine metrics from EC2, Lambda, S3, Kinesis and other AWS services on one dashboard.
- Alerts: Set alert rules on AWS metrics to catch errors, throttling or delivery problems.
