Your Node.js traces now show what happens in your message queues, Redis cache and Next.js apps, and Atatus now flags vulnerable dependencies in the same services. The Atatus Node.js APM agent adds support for RabbitMQ, Kafka, ioredis, Next.js and OpenTelemetry, along with vulnerability monitoring.
Queue, cache and database calls appear as spans in the request that made them, so you can tell which part of a request slowed it down.

What's new in the Node.js agent
- RabbitMQ: Trace messages as they are published and consumed, so you can see where time goes in queue-based workflows.
- Kafka: Follow messages through your Kafka producers and consumers and find the slow steps in your data pipelines.
- ioredis: See each Redis operation made through ioredis, with its duration, inside the request that ran it.
- Next.js: Monitor server-side rendering and API routes in your Next.js applications.
- OpenTelemetry: Collect and export telemetry with OpenTelemetry, so your distributed systems use a standard observability framework.
- Vulnerability monitoring: Find known vulnerabilities in your application dependencies and see which services use them, in Application Security.
